The Challenge

At just three years old, Dhruva from Ayyappa Nagar struggled with something most children take for granted, eating without pain. Enlarged tonsils made every meal difficult, affecting his nutrition, comfort and overall well-being.

Timely Support

In May 2026, Dhruva’s parents informed his teachers about his ongoing difficulty with eating. Diya Ghar promptly supported the family in arranging a medical consultation, which confirmed the need for surgery. In June 2026, Dhruva underwent successful tonsil surgery at East Point Hospital. This support was especially valuable, as Dhruva’s father works as a construction labourer and his mother left her job to care for him during his recovery, reducing the family’s income at a critical time.

A Brighter Tomorrow

Today, Dhruva is recovering at home and continues to attend regular follow-up appointments. He is now able to eat more comfortably and is gradually regaining his strength. We look forward to him returning to school in a few weeks. His journey highlights how timely healthcare and collaborative support can give a child the opportunity to grow, learn and thrive.
